STATEMENT

For several years I have been focuse on the study of medieval art , delving into its symbolic systems and its transcendent quality.

I have taken as a starting point the symbologies present in the Byzantine icon, observing that, beyond their religious context, they have inexhaustible and unlimited meanings. This art prioritizes an aesthetic of a rigorous compositional principle of proportions, although often distorted, which gives it a timeless character.

My work reinterprets historical structures and archetypes, preserving thier original reference, while allowing them to engage in a dialogue with the present through a contemporary visual language.
